Olori Florence Olanireti Adedugbe
(1940 - 2020)
The late founder Olori Florence Olanireti Adedugbe, graduated from the University of London with a B.A in Economics, History and Law in the year 1967. She was an astute lover of God and highly passionate about the well-being of children. It was on the backdrop of this passion and God’s vision that the school – Gloryfield, was founded on the 23rd August, 1993; after many years of a successful teaching career in King’s College Lagos, Marywood Grammar School Ebute-Metta Lagos and her years of experience at the civil service with the Federal Ministry of Education.
Until the heavens called on the 31st day of October, 2020, she was a great mother, grandmother, proprietress, counsellor and confidant. To date, the whole family, community, staff and students of Gloryfield International College still reminisces about the good life of influence and impact she lived up till her last hours.
Olori Olanireti’s legacy lives on in the hearts of everyone who came in contact with her. The values she instilled, the lives she made better, the souls she won and the great citadel of academic and spiritual upbringing that she left behind still resonates in the hearts and minds of relatives, staff, students and parents of the Gloryfield family.
The school is currently undergoing a new phase of rejuvenation, vigor and renewal to meet the demands and needs of today’s academic challenges. We are confident of having huge competitive advantage to stand the test of time and meet global best practices. The vision of the late founder was to bring up children who will be God fearing, disciplined, successful assets and future leaders both nationally and internationally. The success stories of majority of our alumni are testament of this truth.
Her footprints cannot be erased from the sands of time and her legacy lives on to fulfil the dream of making the Gloryfield brand a light of life.
